SpywareBlaster doesn't display an alert when its protection has blocked spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, or other potentially unwanted programs. This is due to how the protection works - SpywareBlaster is passive protection and doesn't require any programs running in the background and using up memory.

To verify that SpywareBlaster is indeed working, just try scanning with a free, trusted anti-spyware program such as Spybot Search & Destroy (www.safer-networking.org) or Ad-Aware (www.lavasoft.de - the link to the free version is at the top right) a week after you first install SpywareBlaster. You should see a dramatic reduction in the number of items these programs detect (if any are detected at all). Most (if not all) of the items detected will only be tracking cookies.

Important Note: Prior to performing such a test, please ensure that you have scanned with Spybot and/or Ad-Aware to remove any spyware (or other) programs remaining from before you installed SpywareBlaster.
